PILODA BUILDING
Bologna, Genoa, Messina, Rome and Naples – Five cities, one shared vision. Through its participation in major Integrated Urban Plans (PUI) funded under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Piloda Building is helping transform urban areas into more inclusive, sustainable and connected communities. With projects worth more than €162 million, the company combines construction expertise, heritage restoration and advanced technologies with a people-centred approach to urban regeneration.
Naples – Piloda Building is leading the redevelopment of the P4 residential complex in Ponticelli, one of Naples’ major urban regeneration projects. Worth approximately €30 million, the programme covers six residential buildings and 312 homes and is part of the national “Sicuro, Verde e Sociale” initiative. With around 50% of the works completed, the project aims to transform the area through improved living standards, energy efficiency, seismic safety and renewed public spaces.
Manfredonia – As part of Italy’s national Port Plan, Piloda Group, through its Building division, and Nautilus are advancing the redevelopment of the Bacino ad Alti Fondali (BAF) in Manfredonia through an innovative construction model designed to maintain full port operations throughout the works. The project combines maritime engineering, shipbuilding capabilities and integrated logistics to modernise a strategic 2.5-kilometer offshore pier while supporting the development of the local port system.
Messina – The demolition of the former Città del Ragazzo in Gravitelli has begun, marking the first step in creating a modern assisted living hub for vulnerable individuals and people with disabilities. The €55.6 million project, funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to enhance social inclusion and improve residents’ quality of life.
Naples – The urban regeneration process in Scampia continues, with the development of Lot L, which will host 48 new apartments, alongside Lot A. This project marks another significant step toward the transformation of the neighborhood, focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the creation of new spaces for the community.
To mark the 170th anniversary of its Bourbon port, Ischia has launched an ambitious redevelopment of the Right Bank. Spearheaded by Piloda Group’s Building Division, the project will enhance tourism appeal while tackling persistent flooding issues. A scenic promenade will connect the harbor to San Pietro Beach, with completion expected by 2025.
PILODA SHIPYARD
La Spezia – From 29 September to 2 October 2025, Piloda Defence made its debut at Seafuture 2025, the international exhibition dedicated to maritime innovation, technology and defence. The event provided the stage for the presentation of PD15 and PD21, high-performance vessels designed for SAR (Search and Rescue) missions, alongside USV12, an Unmanned Surface Vessel platform developed with VN Maritime and Havelsan.

Through Piloda Shipyard, the Group is expanding its production capabilities, investing in infrastructure and specialist expertise, and consolidating its management structure. The growth is supported by new Defence contracts worth approximately €160 million and an increasingly significant pipeline of institutional programmes.
Naples – Piloda Defence, HAVELSAN and VN Maritime Technologies have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop, integrate and produce manned, unmanned and hybrid surface vessels for the Italian and European defence and security markets. The partnership builds on the existing cooperation between Piloda Shipyard and VN Maritime for the production of 40 vessels for the Italian Coast Guard, extending it to advanced platforms for the Italian Navy, Guardia di Finanza and other government agencies.
Naples – Piloda Shipyard, through its Piloda Defence division, and VN Maritime Technologies have officially launched the joint production programme for 40 high-performance 15-meter vessels for the Italian Coast Guard. The agreement marks a major step in the strategic cooperation between the two companies, combining Italian shipbuilding capabilities with Turkish engineering expertise to address increasingly complex maritime security requirements.
Brindisi – Piloda Shipyard has presented a major industrial development project aimed at transforming the Port of Brindisi into a Mediterranean center of excellence for ship repair, refit and recycling. The plan involves an investment of €140 million, the development of a 230 x 48-meter dock and new infrastructure capable of supporting vessels up to 250 meters, with the potential to generate up to 600 direct and indirect jobs.
Naples – With the commissioning of “Annamaria”, a 143-meter floating dock with a 6,000-tonne lifting capacity, Piloda Shipyard marks a major step in the development of Naples as a strategic naval refit hub in the Mediterranean. Designed to accommodate vessels up to 143 meter, the new infrastructure will serve public, private and commercial shipowners, as well as the growing requirements of the naval defence sector.
Piloda Shipyard has successfully completed the refitting of the historic "Sant'Elmo" tugboat for Compagnia Rimorchiatori Napoletani. This team effort involved extensive work on the vessel’s propulsion, maneuvering systems, and both internal and external structures, all done with precision and efficiency.

Cannes – Piloda Yachting presents Ad Astra 60, its contemporary interpretation of the classic Down East yacht, developed in collaboration with naval architect and designer Francesco Guida. Created to stand apart in an increasingly uniform market, the yacht combines timeless elegance, intelligent functionality and attention to detail, with a design philosophy focused on authentic enjoyment of life at sea.
Naples / Torre Annunziata / Brindisi – Piloda Yachting is expanding the traditional concept of refit through an integrated model combining shipyard infrastructure, engineering expertise and strategic technical consultancy. The objective is to support yacht and superyacht owners throughout the vessel’s lifecycle, helping preserve operational efficiency, safety and long-term asset value while planning investments and maintenance beyond individual interventions.
On May 2024, the Matteo Caracciolini training ship was launched after seven years of restoration work by the "Scugnizzi a Vela" project, a social initiative focused on integrating at-risk youth in Naples. The project, born from a partnership between the Italian Navy and the Juvenile Justice Department, aims to teach valuable maritime skills to young people through the restoration of historic wooden vessels.
