Piloda Yachting presents Ad Astra 60 at Cannes 2025: timeless Italian design with a Mediterranean spirit

Cannes – Piloda Yachting presents Ad Astra 60, its contemporary interpretation of the classic Down East yacht, developed in collaboration with naval architect and designer Francesco Guida. Created to stand apart in an increasingly uniform market, the yacht combines timeless elegance, intelligent functionality and attention to detail, with a design philosophy focused on authentic enjoyment of life at sea.

Inspired by traditional American Down East boats and reinterpreted for Mediterranean cruising, Ad Astra 60 features a hull developed to deliver stability, efficiency and excellent seakeeping. Powered by two MAN I6-800 engines, she reaches a cruising speed of 25 knots and a maximum speed of 32 knots, while also offering efficient and comfortable displacement cruising.

The interiors are designed for both day cruising and extended stays on board, with two layout options and refined finishes including solid teak and teak veneers. Seamless connections between cockpit, saloon and outdoor spaces create a welcoming environment centred on comfort, conviviality and practical use, while every detail reflects Piloda Yachting’s focus on genuine build quality rather than appearance alone.

Francesco Guida, Naval Architect and Designer: “The goal was to preserve a classic, elegant character without following passing trends: a yacht defined by balance, proportion and understated sophistication.”
