Re—Start Scampia: reconstruction of Lot L with 48 new apartments begins

Naples – The urban regeneration process in Scampia continues, with the development of Lot L, which will host 48 new apartments, alongside Lot A. This project marks another significant step toward the transformation of the neighborhood, focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the creation of new spaces for the community.

The project, led by Piloda Building, will involve engineers, designers, and over 100 workers, with the goal of delivering modern and functional housing in a timely manner. The redevelopment plan not only focuses on the construction of new buildings but also includes the creation of essential services, such as nurseries, a Civic Center, and public spaces for socializing, aiming to give Scampia a new, inclusive identity.

After years of fighting for the demolition of the Vele, symbols of a difficult past, the community now sees a tangible change taking shape. The reconstruction of Lot L is part of a broader plan to transform the neighborhood into a model of urban rebirth, with a commitment to providing dignity, services, and opportunities for its residents.
