Piloda Shipyard completes dockside crane intervention on M/V Marmed in just 20 hours
Naples – Piloda Shipyard carried out a rapid technical intervention on the cargo ship Marmed, owned by Navimat Srl, while the vessel remained afloat at Pier 21 in the Port of Naples, replacing the bow crane’s pulley block and cable directly dockside.
The operation was performed entirely at height and required precise coordination, specialised expertise and strict safety procedures. Despite the complexity of the intervention, the team completed all activities in just 20 hours, significantly reducing downtime and ensuring full operational continuity for the vessel.
The project reflects Piloda Shipyard’s ability to respond efficiently in demanding operational environments, combining organisation, technical expertise and execution speed to deliver effective maintenance solutions with minimal impact on vessel operations
