Warehouse Operator

Piloda Group, an Italian holding company operating in the construction, shipbuilding and yachting sectors, is seeking an experienced  Warehouse Operator to join its shipyard in Naples.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of technical materials supporting shipbuilding, refit and naval repair projects.

Working within a dynamic and structured industrial environment, the Warehouse Operator will contribute to the smooth execution of production activities by ensuring material availability, traceability and efficient warehouse operations.


The Role

The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the shipyard’s technical warehouse, ensuring the correct receipt, inspection, registration, identification, storage and distribution of materials required for ongoing projects.

The role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work closely with the Purchasing Department, Project Managers and Site Managers while maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety and traceability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the technical warehouse.

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying both quantity and quality.

  • Register inbound and outbound material movements using the company ERP system.

  • Prepare and issue materials required for shipbuilding, refit and naval repair projects.

  • Monitor stock levels and manage periodic and continuous inventory activities.

  • Identify replenishment requirements and report procurement needs.

  • Ensure the correct identification, coding and traceability of stored materials.

  • Manage warehouse documentation, including delivery notes and transportation documents.

  • Verify that materials are stored in compliance with internal procedures and safety regulations.

  • Work closely with the Purchasing Department, Project Managers and Site Managers to provide efficient support to operational activities.

Profile

  • At least three years of experience as a warehouse operator within an industrial environment.

  • Previous experience in shipbuilding or naval repair will be considered a strong advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management software and ERP systems.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to read technical documentation and material codes.

  • Accuracy, reliability and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • A valid forklift operator licence will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing mechanical, electrical and marine spare parts.

  • Knowledge of naval repair processes and shipyard operations.

  • Familiarity with material coding and traceability systems.
