Piloda Group, an Italian holding operating in construction, shipbuilding, and yachting, is seeking a Marine Engine Technician – Mechatronics to join its shipyard workshops.
The selected candidate will contribute to maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities of propulsion systems and onboard mechatronic systems, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Role
The Marine Engine Technician – Mechatronics will work within the shipyard workshop and, when required, onboard vessels, performing technical interventions on marine engines and integrated systems.
This role requires strong technical expertise, advanced diagnostic capabilities, and a problem-solving mindset in a dynamic and highly technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and extraordinary maintenance on marine engines
Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and electronic onboard systems
Service propulsion systems, transmissions, and auxiliary equipment
Use diagnostic tools and dedicated software
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Prepare technical reports on performed activities
Collaborate with the technical team and other shipyard functions
Profile
Previous experience as a marine engine technician, mechanic, or mechatronics technician
Knowledge of diesel and gasoline internal combustion engines
Electrical/electronic skills applied to the marine sector
Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools
Problem-solving attitude and teamwork skills
Operational flexibility and willingness to work both in workshop and onboard
Good command of English (preferred)
