Former Psychiatric Hospital S.Maria della Pietà / Roma

In the heart of Rome, the former Santa Maria della Pietà asylum is set to be reborn. Our ambitious yet historically respectful project aims to transform this monumental complex, built between 1893 and 1907, into a symbol of balance between historical memory and contemporary use.

Every intervention within the pavilions and the park is the result of in-depth research, meticulous surveys, and a careful interpretation of the original spaces.

Among corridors that have witnessed centuries and gardens that embrace the pavilions, the restoration follows a conservative approach, ensuring the site's authenticity is preserved through sustainable interventions, maintaining the historical essence and identity of this unique place.

From the pavilion housing the Pharmacy to the evocative Museo della Mente, Santa Maria della Pietà is poised to become both a medical-care facility and a bridge between past and future.

A project that embodies the evolution of architecture and human thought—a tribute to history and a commitment to the future.
