Piloda Building completes the restoration of Torrione Prenestino
Rome – The restoration of Torrione Prenestino has been completed, bringing together structural consolidation, architectural conservation and site enhancement to restore the historic complex while preserving its original character.
The works included structural reinforcement, restoration of finishes and plasterwork, and careful cleaning of the brick joints, alongside the complete recovery of the external perimeter wall through vegetation removal, biocidal treatment and specialist cleaning techniques.
The project also involved the clearance of the archaeological area, the controlled demolition of the wall adjacent to the provincial road and the construction of a new boundary wall along the access route, improving both continuity and overall site organisation.
The completed intervention reflects Piloda Building’s approach to heritage restoration: combining technical expertise, conservation and long-term durability to protect and enhance a site of historical value.
