Under the majestic railway vaults and among the forgotten niches, the heart of a neighborhood still beats waiting to be reborn. Restoring and transforming this place was an ambitious challenge, but also an extraordinary opportunity to bring life, beauty and function to a corner of Genoa. Through a careful work of recovery, cleaning and redesign, we are bringing to light the architectural and social soul of this unique structure.
The magic of this restoration lies in the details: bricks and stones carefully “sewn up and sewn back together”, the structural voids expertly repaired, and the insertion of modern iron and glass boxes, ready to host economic and social activities that will give new life to via Buranello.
The niches, transformed into urban furniture spaces, will become places of meeting, relaxation and utility: benches, fountains, bicycle areas.
