MEI museum / Genova
Built in the late 12th century, this architectural marvel played a crucial role in the city's history and great migrations.
Originally it hosted pilgrims and then transformed into a refuge for the needy, during the nineteenth century the Commenda became a fundamental crossing point for emigrants in search of a better future.
Despite the centuries of transformations, the complex keeps its original structures intact, testifying to the resilience and deep history of Genoa.
To date, the Museum has been enriched with a touch of modernity thanks to the installation of an elegant glass slot near the columns which highlights the bases and the design of a tailor-made lighting system which enhances every detail.
