Tug Arechi
The Arechi, ship built in 2019, is a modern and versatile tugboat, operating mainly in the port of Salerno and designed to guarantee assistance with ship maneuvers, towing operations and emergency interventions.
Equipped with an advanced propulsion system, it offers high maneuverability and reliability even in complex marine conditions. The name "Arechi" recalls the link with local history and tradition, being a tribute to the Lombard prince Arechi II, historical figure of Salerno.
For the 24.40m tug with a GT 312, Rimorchiatori Riuniti Spa chooses Piloda Shipyard Napoli for important maintenance and improvement interventions on the Arechi. The works carried out include the revision and optimization of the engines and propulsion systems, the reinforcement of the hull structures, the updating of the on-board systems and the installation of the latest generation technological systems for safety and management operational. Thanks to these interventions, the tug maintains high standards of efficiency and continues to play a crucial role for port traffic and maritime operations in the region
